Home schooled boy snatched from plane in Sweden

Christer Johansson called me again this morning. He was crying softly, obviously in pain and despair. His wife Annie was taken into emergency room – again. She is suffering from a severe trauma; hard to comprehend. Their son has been taken away from them and put into foster care. Why? They wanted to home school their child, 7 year old Dominic.

Yes, you read correctly, their “crime” was wanting to home school their child - in Sweden. Read on!

Christer and I had a lengthy conversation last night. He told me the unfolding story. Kafkaesque. Surreal. Beyond tragic. I don’t know all ins and outs, but I know that a father, a mother and a son are being put through hell by bureaucrats, social workers, anonymous complaints, a principal and the police.

Annie is from a Christian family in India, and they had planned for some time to move there to live, work and to home school Dominic. Due to the harassment from Swedish authorities the trip was delayed. But finally in June this year they were on their way, sitting on the plane bound for India. Then the police came rushing into the plane – as if they were to apprehend dangerous terrorists – and snatched Dominic, saying he is to be taken into care. Can anyone imagine?

1. Please READ a fuller version of their painful story here: Home schooled boy snatched from plane in Sweden

2. Please PRAY!

3. Please ACT, send emails to the Swedish authorities. If you have limited time, just write in the subject line “Please return Dominic Johansson to his parents. Thanks”

The Swedish society is turning into a joke. I am a Swedish-American living in Stockholm, and I see so much darkness (not weather related), hurt, and often a lack of hope in the people's eyes. Sweden has a warped definition of "equality", and they really need to give people a bit more freedom of choice. One day, this country will wake up in the stone age. It pains me to see this, since my entire family heritage is Swedish, but I have seen the extremes that this type of society can create, and it is NOT pretty. Do the right thing and give that boy back to his family - if you really know what equality is.

Please return this boy to his parents.
Homeschooling is so good for children.
If that is indeed why you took him from his parents, please consider returning him.
thanks

This is terrible that you would take the boy away from his parents. Please return the boy AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
Homeschooling is so good for children to learn. Public school should not be manated or you just take the child if you don't get your way.. This is so crazy.
And this is supposed to be a free country??

I do not know why, except for homeschooling, Dominic was taken. Homeschooling should not be a crime. There are many reasons to homeschool a child. If something was wrong with in the family don't site homeschooling as the reason a child is taken to safety.
I homeschool my two boys. In California it is not only a better education but a safer place for them.
I don't sale drugs, beat them or anything else that is common in my local schools.
I agree schools in Sweden are differnt. If I moved to Sweden (we have been thinking about it for a few years now) my kid would be in public school. But I still think for some kids, maybe with learing or other health problems, homechool would be the best choice.
Thank you for your time
Connie

You are kidnapping someone's son. Return him today. You do not have the right to take this boy unless he is being harmed. There is no harm in schooling your child at home. Please cease from showing your ignorance in this matter.

This is a tragedy of major proportions! How can Sweden call themselves a free democracy? This is the nanny state at its worst, yet it is also indicative of the way things are going to be going for Christians in the West in the years to come, I'm afraid. My prayers are with this family.
